There is nothing lovelier than photographing two people in love in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I return to Lake Crescent over and over, and every time is like coming home. The lake seems unchanging, yet no two visits are alike– bringing out different aspects of the shoreline, nuances of water and forest and mountain.
I’m sure Angela and Troy realized just how cold the lake water was going to be in April, as much of it was literally in a glacier only weeks before. But despite the temperature, they were willing to venture a few feet out into the water for some photos. This series turned out to be some of my favorites from the day — the indescribable blue of the water and the coral of Angela’s dress made for such a lovely combination!
Back on land Angela and Troy toasted their engagement with a vintage from their winery wedding venue as the sun drifted towards the west.
